The small, tranquil Bünsowska tjärnen park consists of a pond surrounded by nearly century-old willows. The park was created in 1885 at the suggestion of Friedrich Bünsow, a German businessman, sawmill owner, and patron of the Swedish timber industry from Kiel, who lived in a magnificent townhouse right next door. At the time, Bünsow was, apart from Alfred Nobel, the richest man in Sweden.
