Hiking

Several drawn veteran trees along the ring road are silent witnesses to WWII. Over 100 years ago, they were deliberately pruned to a height of 1 to 1.5 meters. They were then connected with wire. This was all to provide additional defense for the fort, slowing down enemy attacks. The pruned trees have since grown into veteran trees.
