The traditional motif of the Midnight Lantern is frequently found in the folk art of the Ore Mountains. Carved angels, carolers, and choirboys often carry a Midnight Candle and a Midnight Lantern. Many figures of children and adults also carry Midnight Lanterns on the large Christmas pyramid, "Mettengang," which is on display at the Ore Mountains Toy Museum.
