This trail is a narrow singletrack that follows the eastern shore of Kingsmere Lake, weaving through quiet boreal forest with occasional long lakeside views across the water. The path remains mostly level and easy to follow as you travel deep into the beautiful, peaceful wilderness, with several campgrounds along the way, perfect for plenty of options to pitch your tent and take your time. As you approach Ajawaan Lake, the forest opens just enough to reveal Grey Owl’s historic cabin, an iconic and rewarding finish to a long, peaceful back-country hike.
