    The Plym Valley Trail is a pretty stretch of the Devon Coast to Coast cycle ride. The traffic-free route runs through National Trust-owned woodland along the river Plym into Plymouth city centre. The trail leads pasts dramatic industrial ruins, towering quarry faces and across impressive viaducts. The route runs a total of 10 miles (16 km) from Dartmoor to Plymouth.     The Plym Valley Trail is part of the Drake's Trail, which is a shared use walking and cycling route that runs on the old South Devon & Tavistock Railway between Plymouth and Tavistock, along the western edge of Dartmoor.
