You can combine a visit to the Ukranenland, a reconstructed Slavic settlement, with a hike. Along the river or parallel through the forest, you will reach the next lovingly reconstructed settlement after just a few kilometers in Torgelow - where you will find yourself a few centuries later in the Middle Ages.

In the museum villages Ukranenland and Castrum Turglowe one can experience "history to touch". With the Ukranenland was based on historical finds a Slavic settlement of the 9th and 10th Century modeled, while the Castrum Turglowe puts the emphasis on the 13th century.
A worthwhile detour from the actual route of the Berlin-Usedom bike path, which also rewarded with a nice drive along the Ucker.
