Karlchen's bakery "Brotschaft" in the old Südbahnhof. The old, renovated former train station building is a real eye-catcher. The ideal place to stop for a break on the tour. Indoor and outdoor seating and a large selection of cakes and delicious sandwiches also attracted us. Recommended!

Cycling
Karlchen's Bakery not only loves bread, but also, apparently, historic, listed railway station buildings. For about five years now, the eastern part of the building, which once likely served as the baggage handling area, has housed bread, cakes, and baked goods for every taste (Weserstr. 11, 32545 Bad Oeynhausen, Tel. (05731) 744 7140). Of course, you can also enjoy a leisurely coffee, breakfast, or hot meals here. In good weather, you can also sit outside on the former platform. Opening hours are: Mon-Fri 6:00-18:00, Sat 6:00-17:00, Sun 7:00-17:00.

So much for "cycling is forbidden here!" 🙈 Cyclists are always welcome at "Karlchen's." 😊🍀 You can of course cycle here. Just be careful: the cobblestones on the access road are quite bumpy, and there's a lot of car traffic on Weserstrasse!
