The prehistoric rock formation Kemitzenstein is located in front of Kümmersreuth, between Bad Staffelstein and Wattendorf. The limestone rock reef is not very high, but ideal for climbing friends to practice.
The Staffelsteiner "nature lovers" operate here a refuge for members. When I was there in August 2017, a sign hung on the door, that here no management (more) takes place!

Surrounded by forest opens up a place with very special charm. Rock towers in the middle of a green meadow invite you to climb, picnic and rest. A true place to relax and let off steam.
With a little luck the Naturfreunde-Hütte will open and provide you with cool drinks.

Note: There is a small via ferrata on the back, which you can take with you.

For climbers or those who still want to be a good way to test out. In the rear part on the left there is an entrance, hoes, a small bridge with safety rope ... Along the cliff there are more countless climbing opportunities.
For bikers, walkers or hikers there are good opportunities for rest in the shade or in the sun in a beautiful setting. Very interesting rock formations.
