St. Peter's Basilica has a monumental staircase adorned with statues of the apostles. The interior is decorated with white and blue stucco work. In the right nave are a beautiful marble statue known as the "Madonna of Trapani" (16th century) and the wooden statue of "St. Peter and the Paralytic" (19th century).
