The "Leda" Fountain at the Tuzla Complex 'Slana Banja' is one of the best works of academic sculptor Franjo Leder. The first and greatest Tuzla sculptor (1905 - 1962) created the fountain in 1938/39, and the central sculpture, a half-naked Leda with a swan on a stone cliff rising from the water, according to some versions represents the great, only and unrequited love of this artist from his student days, a certain Vesa Popadić. According to Greek mythology, Leda was a beautiful Spartan queen with whom the god Zeus fell in love and had sex by deception, turning into a white swan. Allegedly, the artist presented himself in the figure of a swan. The fountain is square, and in its center is Leda with a swan. In each corner, originally, until the devastation of the fountain, there was an identical sculpture of a boy with a fish in his hand. The sculptures represent four stylized Cupids; Leder's boys do not have wings like Cupid, and they do not hold a bow and arrow in their hands, with which Cupid makes people (or gods) fall in love, but fish. Instead of Cupid's magical arrows, Leder directs fountains from the hands of his boys to his Leda.
The fountain has been severely damaged by hooligans on several occasions (the first time in 1978), and a few years ago they took away three 'cupids', which have not been found to this day. The fourth was removed and is being preserved, so that a complete restoration of the fountain is possible, which - to the regret and shame of Tuzla - has not yet been done.

Franjo Leder studied sculpture in Zagreb. Although he worked on the creation of a monument to King Tomislav during his studies, he did not stay in Zagreb. Leder returned to Tuzla, where he created some of his most interesting sculptures. The artist left symbols for the Bohemian city of Tuzla that it is still known for today. The statues on the "Bridge with Statues" in Jal, the discus thrower, Leda, are some of the preserved sculptures that testify to the life and work of the first Tuzla sculptor.
