A bit of the way, between the Kalkbrüchen, the waterfall and the Nohner mill accompanies us the Ahbach the way.

It is very worthwhile to take the path over this bridge to the waterfall. It leads idyllically and winding along the Ahbach also to the Dreimühlenfall. On the way there are testimonials from the neighboring quarry: warning signs that you can take seriously (on working days) and a robust protective cabin for blasting. It's a little longer than the paved alternative, but much nicer and more interesting.

The waterfall of Dreimühlen lies south of Ahütte and may be considered as one of the most interesting waterfalls in the entire Eifel. It was created by deposits of three strongly carbonated tributaries of the Ahbach. Such carbonate deposits are called carbonate sintered rocks (travertine). Because of its uniqueness, the waterfall of Dreimühlen was declared a natural monument.
