On the wooded slopes of Tuzla's Gradina, the Partisan Memorial Cemetery was built in 1959, based on the idea of Ismet Mujezinović, symbolizing the gratitude of the city of Tuzla for the victims of the fighters of the National Liberation War (NOR). On one of the stones along the Alley leading to the Partisan Cemetery is engraved the text: "To you who fell for freedom". Along the winding walking paths there are 687 marble slabs with the names of the fallen NOR fighters from this area, among whom are several Tuzla's national heroes.
The Partisan Memorial Cemetery as a whole also consists of a common grave, access paths and stairs, lookouts, a walking alley with resting places, and a plateau on which a monumental monument to the Partisans has been erected, made of a single block of Brač stone measuring 4x2 meters. On the front side are carved figures of three fighters in relief, and on the back is carved a message to future generations.
In the immediate vicinity of this monument, there is also a common grave with the remains of unknown NOR fighters who died for the liberation of Tuzla, and two plaques by Dragiša Trifković, on which are inscribed the names of victims of fascist terror.

If you come here for a walk, to 'Slana Banja' and Gradina, bring flowers with you, lay them on one or more marble slabs and pay tribute to all the partisans who died for the liberation of Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1945.
