Cycling

The Langenstein-Zwieberge concentration camp was a satellite camp of the Buchenwald concentration camp. From April 1944 to April 1945, more than 7,000 prisoners from at least 23 countries were imprisoned here. In 1949 a memorial and commemorative plaques were dedicated at the site of the mass graves. There has been a museum on the memorial site since 1976.

On our tour we passed the "Langenstein Subcamp" memorial. This place was not given to us when planning, so we made a stop. After we had informed ourselves briefly, we decided to visit this memorial site again. It is extensive and gives many insights into this time.
