The Duisburg-Ruhrort ports are located in Duisburg at the mouth of the Ruhr in the Rhine. They are considered the largest inland port in Europe, in terms of all public and private port facilities as the largest inland port in the world. With a total area of 10 km², the area of the actual port extends from the harbor basin along the Ruhr estuary along the Rhine up to Duisburg-Rheinhausen.
