Werlaburg, Kaiserpfalz Werla, Werla near Schladen – it's all the same thing: the Kaiserpfalz Werla. As has often been described, the place is a popular tourist destination; on a clear day, you can enjoy a wonderful view all the way to the Harz Mountains. Those particularly interested in the historical and heritage aspects of the complex should plan enough time. Information panels around the remains of the castle provide information. If you're interested in a guided tour, that's no problem either. Here's the link for more information: kaiserpfalz.schladen-werla.de

The ILE * Freizeitstempelstelle 24 "Kaiserpfalz Werla" is located north of the castle in a refuge. It is freely accessible. The archaeological park "Kaiserpfalz Werla" is the largest archaeological park in Northern Germany.
* ILE - Integrated Rural Development - the stamping points are located in scenic and historically significant locations in the “NördlichesHarzVorland” region. More information at: noerdliches-harzvorland.com/natur-aktiv/wandern/stempelstellen

Easy to explore by bike. The terrain is bigger than I expected. In addition to the castle, there are also great views, including the Oker and the Harz Mountains with chunks.
