There is definitely no drinking water point here - but a shady spot for a break and a nice little legend about the fountain of maidens.
From 1723 the "Jungferla-Quelle" supplied water to the Hercules fountain on the upper market square in Baiersdorf.
Two 300-year-old wooden pipes from the former water pipe were accidentally found next to the new Regnitz Bridge during excavation work. Today they are kept as exhibits in the "Jungferlakeller".
