The large sandy plain of the Lommel Sahara looks like a miniature desert. But there are also bright blue lakes, heathland strips and fragrant coniferous and deciduous forests. Here you walk past cool play elements, the land art works of Will Beckers, the pedestrian bridge and the famous lookout tower! Do you want to be able to view the Sahara from a height of 30 metres? Then be sure to climb the lookout tower! You will encounter the ‘Giant of Bosland’ on all three walking loops. The pedestrian bridge, which connects the Sahara with the Blekerheide nature reserve, can only be found on the orange and red route. Walking loops

The Lommelse Sahara is a real nature experience. In the middle of heathland, a desert-like sandy landscape stretches across just a few square kilometers. On a bike, you sometimes have to make an effort not to get stuck. The modern observation tower offers a great view of the Sahara and the lakes.
