We woke to the soft patter of rain on the tent roof—a gentle wake-up call for the final day. The ride back to Munich unfolded through peaceful river valleys and picturesque hills, a serene farewell from the Oberland. A heavy rain shower briefly broke the calm, but a hearty plate of Kaiserschmarrn gave

After a night at the campsite—most of us in tents, a few lucky ones tucked into the hay—we packed up our bikes again for a big day out. The morning started gently, but after a good lunch the scenery shifted dramatically. We rolled into the spectacular “Little Canada”—a wild landscape of dense forests

The first day of The Weekender – Oberland Edition began with a relaxed start. By 11 a.m., riders gathered at the Canyon Bike Store in Munich, where Iris and her crew welcomed everyone with warm smiles. Goodie bags were handed out, coffee and croissants were consumed, and of course there was a lot of

Back to Munich through Lakes and Forests

Day three takes us back to Munich. From Lake Riegsee, we ride towards the Osterseen.

After 20 kilometers, we arrive near Iffeldorf, where we can stop at Vitus Café. The track then continues through the Osterseen area, a moorland south of the world-famous Lake

Exploring the wilderness in small Canada

Day two is going to be really cool – we ride from the campsite into Bad Tölz, a well-known and traditional spa town with a famous old town. We pass by Café Love, which is located near the Isar Bridge, from where you have a fantastic view of the Alps.

      Rolling South with Alpine views

The adventure kicks off gently. With just 60 kilometers and 650 meters of climbing ahead, the first day eases you into the journey. Leaving Munich behind, we follow the Isar River southward and roll straight into the Bavarian Oberland. Along the way, we pass through the
