In 1670 a Franciscan convent of Santuario de la Virgen del Toro including a gothic-style church was built on the top. In 1936 the monastery church was looted and destroyed for the most part. As reported by historians, the Nostra Seyore del Toro, a statue of Our Lady worshiped by the Menorcan faithful, was recovered and is now in the restored sanctuary.Source and more informationde.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Toro
