Santuario de la Virgen del Toro on the top of Monte Toro / El Toro, the highest "mountain" in Menorca. The church was largely destroyed in 1936, but rebuilt. The figure of the Mother of God Nostra Seyore del Toro has been preserved.

At the summit you will find the “Santuario de la Virgen del Toro”, a sanctuary with a carved wooden statue dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the patron saint of Menorca. Built in 1670 on top of a Gothic church, the sanctuary takes its name from a legend according to which a bull (Spanish: toro) helped monks discover the figure of the Madonna.
