The following text is taken from the inscription panel: In 1709, the water that escaped here was declared a medicinal water, the first wells were made in 1726 on behalf of Margrave Georg Wilhelm v. Chr. Brandenburg-Bayreuth. In 1975, the well socket was renovated. Today, the water supply is disturbed by sand extraction in the catchment area.
