The Basilica-Cathedral Marie-Reine-du-Monde is the cathedral of Montreal and the seat of the archdiocese. The cathedral was built between 1870 and 1894 as a scaled-down replica of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and was declared a National Historic Site in 2000.
