It has been used as a youth hostel since 1928. It is one of the most visited hostels in Germany.

The Freusburg, which is now a youth hostel, is still very well preserved. Events take place in the inner courtyard of the castle. The café in front of the gate is very cozy and you can drink delicious coffee ☕ and eat cake 🎂 there. The historic town center with the small half-timbered houses rounds off the overall picture. When you look down on the impressive castle from the valley, high up on the mountain, you hardly think that you can visit something so great in your home country - always worth a visit.
