Freusburg Castle

The Freusburg, which is now a youth hostel, is still very well preserved. Events take place in the inner courtyard of the castle. The café in front of the gate is very cozy and you can drink delicious coffee ☕ and eat cake 🎂 there. The historic town center with the small half-timbered houses rounds off the overall picture. When you look down on the impressive castle from the valley, high up on the mountain, you hardly think that you can visit something so great in your home country - always worth a visit.

I had asked friendly and was allowed to look at the castle courtyard. And since I have a DJH ID, I was also given the opportunity to buy a drink.

The Freusburg rises majestically above the Siegtal. The moderate increase is worth climbing to marvel at the old walls, at least from the outside. It is easy to reach the inner courtyard. A visit to the interior is unfortunately not possible. There is a youth hostel in the castle.
