The Asdorfer Weiher was created as a fish pond by damming in 1473 and was originally 10 hectares in size. When the railway embankment was built, it was divided into two halves. The eastern part of today's sewage treatment plant, fed by the woman, was largely built over. Today only the part of the pond that is fed by the Mausbach to Plittershagen remains. The Asdorf begins at the outlet of the pond on the rest of the eastern part. The protection of the NSG "Asdorfer Weiher" took place on December 18, 2003.
