View of the Brocken and Harz

The Panoramaweg offers wonderful views of the Harz and Brocken over a longer distance. Especially recommended in spring and autumn, if you want to enjoy the first (or last) sunny days. For midsummer, there is a parallel path in the forest.

At noon, when the sun is beautiful in the sky, this path is particularly attractive.

The path along the Elmrand already offers an impressive view of the surrounding area. Whether the Asse ridge or, if the view is clear, the Brocken in the Harz Mountains.
Often overlooked, however, is the Ostfälische Hügellandschaft information board, a book about the history of the earth. The sign is hidden from the path towards the parking lot above Ampleben. So keep your eyes open while hiking
