Nice mountain restaurant! We recommend the buttermilk (if you like it 🙂) and the cheese tasting plate - you should definitely try it and then take the cheese that tastes best home with you. It's packed to take away. 🧀

At the end of the Spertental in Aschau, where the Great Rettenstein stretches into the sky, the Kasplatzl invites you to culinary delights from May to October. On his own Hintenbachalm in the middle of the Kitzbüheler Alpen, the young farmer Hans Walch opens the show dairy for his visitors during the "Almzeit". In addition to the interesting information about the production of the different types of cheese, there is of course a lot to taste. Other in-house products such as homemade bread, bacon and sausage specialties and much more. can be enjoyed in the adjoining inn, but can also be purchased in the form of a gift basket. In the small show power station, which ensures that agriculture and the Kasplatzl are energy self-sufficient, you can find out more about the production of water power.
True to the motto "the route is the destination", a possible hike leads from the toll station on the "Unterer Grund" hiking trail along the stream over an 80 meter high suspension bridge directly to the destination (approximate walking time 40 minutes). It takes about 20 minutes by bike from the parking lot at the Ebenau Alm and by car the tasteful destination can be reached via the toll road.
As a reward, exquisite cheese samples and other delights around white gold, a chat with the cheese maker and all that in the wonderful ambience of the Unterer Grund / Spertental landscape conservation area. (Source: tirol-infos.at/kitzbuehel/schaukaeserei-kasplatzl-kirchberg.html)
Beautiful sun terrace with a fantastic view. Delicious, fresh fruit butter milk and freshly baked bread from the wood oven in front of the door. Always worth a detour.
