The small castle is reflected in the pond where swans, ducks, and moorhens swim. It served as a reservoir that provided hydraulic power to the forge machinery located below. Despite its medieval appearance, the castle is relatively recent, having been built in the 1960s. It is privately owned and is not open to the public.

The small castle is idyllically reflected in the calm pond. The architecture is deceptive – the Château d'Orval is not a medieval building, but rather a 1960s structure. However, this does not detract from its picturesque atmosphere. The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.

This neo-medieval style castle was built in the 1960s to plans by the architect Émile Godin at the request of Baron d'Otreppe.
