The transmitter Jena is a transmitter of the German radio tower on the northern slope of the Hummelsberg, part of the mountain range of the Kernberge southeast of the city center of Jena.
From here the city of Jena is supplied with radio and television signals.
The previous 37 meter high lattice mast was dismantled as part of the conversion to DVB-T and replaced by a new 60 meter high free-standing steel lattice tower, which went into operation in 2008.
