The impressive Stubai Glacier rises imposingly over the head of the valley at the end of the Stubai Valley. The ski area extends to a height of up to 3,210 meters and is the largest of the glacier ski areas in Austria.

At the beginning, the road into the Stubai Valley was not very appealing to me, as it was perfectly developed for tourism. But from the middle of the approximately 30-kilometer-long valley, there is a wide and pristine high valley with less buildings, narrower and more winding roads and always with a view of the mighty glacier ahead - great cinema! And if you want to take a closer look at the glacier, take the train up and explore the eternal ice with a great view!
