Hiking
Bonifacio is a town on the southern tip of the French island of Corsica. It is known for its busy harbor and the medieval citadel situated on a rock. Built in the 13th century, Bastion de l'Etendard houses a small museum of city history. The staircase of the King of Aragon (Escalier du Roi d'Aragon) consists of 187 steps cut into the limestone cliffs. Southeast of Corsica lies the uninhabited island of Îles Lavezzi, a nature reserve with sandy beaches and granite rock reefs.
