The Elbe Bridge is a railway bridge on the Berlin-Hanover high-speed line and the Lehrter Bahn. At 810 m, it is the longest bridge structure on both routes. The first bridge for the railway was built here between 1868 and 1871. From 1923 to 1926 a new bridge construction was built as the line loads had increased. This bridge was blown up in 1945 by the Wehrmacht.
In 1947 a single-track bridge was built that could only be used at 30 km / h. This bridge existed until 1992, it is not possible to cross the bridges on foot or by bike.
