Very nice hiking trail between Berlin and Potsdam along the banks of the Havel, mostly a little offset from the lake shore on a hill. This gives you a very nice view of the Havel. The senate administration has set up benches in very attractive places.

The Höhenweg ends at the Strandbad Wannsee, but there are also some quiet and small bathing spots in between, such as at Lieper Bay. But it shouldn't get too hot anyway, because you usually walk in the shady forest.

The Havelhöhenweg is part of the 20 main green routes in Berlin and was planned 100 years ago. A virtual tour can be found here: stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/forsten/waldspaziergang

If you want to stop right in the middle, you can do so at the beer garden in Grunewald.
