The twin lake with a water area of 1.5 hectares is a smaller lake of the Ville lakes. It is located about 2.5 km southeast of Liblar between the Donatussee in the northwest, the Villenhofer Maar in the northeast and the Silbersee in the southwest. It consists of three sub-lakes and is connected in the west via a canal with a small pond, over which flows to the Donatussee the drain. The inflow receives the twin lake from groundwater.
The eastern part of the area is very shallow and mostly silted up, while the other two parts except for the front sides have very steep bank sections.
As part of the Villeseen also the Zwillingssee belongs to the nature park Rhineland.

From the hut it is not far to Villenhofer Maar. For me the most beautiful lake in the Ville.

The twin lake is located in the municipal area of the city of Brühl in North Rhine-Westphalia and is part of the Villeseen. Today it is designated as a nature reserve.

Wonderful, partly very old and dense deciduous forest, beautifully shady and very beneficial. Many beautiful lakes can be visited on one route, with few gradients
