From the observation tower at the "Taunusblick" rest area on the A5 you have a great view of the Frankfurt skyline or the Taunus. A telescope for feeding coins is also available. You can reach the platform at a height of 25 m via a glass elevator or a staircase with a hundred steps. Use is free of charge.

I only discovered a very steep staircase🥵 to get from the field path by bike🚲 to the rest area and the observation tower🗼.. 🤔better to be on foot🚶♀️or even easier with the 🚗 there

Gravel riding
The tower belongs to the Taunusblick rest stop on the A5 motorway (direction Frankfurt to Kassel), located between the Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt and the Bad Homburger Kreuz. It is one of the few observation towers in Germany that are directly integrated into a motorway rest area.
