It has a very beautiful old town and the other cities such as Bad Homburg and of course Frankfurt am Main are not far.
The Taunus has many different cycling and hiking areas. For example the area between Kelkheim, Hofheim and Eppstein. Here the Kaisertempel is a nice destination for MTB riders, etc.
Oberursel has a lot of inns and you can choose a lot.
