The Monument to Eduardo Coelho in Lisbon is a commemorative work dedicated to the journalist and writer José Eduardo Coelho (1835–1889), founder of the newspaper Diário de Notícias in 1863. The "Ardina" (Uncle) monument was erected in 1904 in the garden of Sao Pedro de Alcántara in memory of the journalist and writer Eduardo Coelho.
The monument, featuring bronze figures, is the work of architect Alvaro Machado and sculptor Costa Mota (10). It consists of a bust of the honoree placed on a pedestal, with a figure of a boy delivering newspapers in front of it.
