Great Dun Fell is one mighty road climb heading up onto the Pennines and summiting at 2,900 feet (895 m), with an average gradient of 9% ramping up to a maximum gradient of 20% for the 4.5 mile (7 km) duration. Ouch!

Make sure you are on a good leg day, hardest climb I've ever done. Beautiful scenery, no traffic and a good road surface. Well worth the effort and a bucket list climb being the highest tarmac road in Britain
