Once the hunting lodge for the Duke of Northumberland, Kielder Castle is now an exhibition space, cafe and meeting spot for outdoors activities in Kielder Forest Park.

From the castle you can hire bikes, pick up trail maps, enjoy a bite or a drink in the cafe, and check out the seasonal exhibitions on display. There's also a forest drive toll road, lakeside walks and cycling trails and it's the home to the UK's best known gravel race, the Dirty Reiver.
