No, there are not many lake accesses on the island. This is probably because the lake is under protection. Here is such an approach, but the hard-to-buy: It goes crunchy steep down and - you hardly believe it - just as crisp and steep again up. But you can take a look at the opposite island Buwiese and the campsite Grosser Zecher, much more not. There is no jetty, you can not even get to the water, in short: It is not really worth it. But since we always have to take everything with us, we just did it.

Just keep walking straight ahead, then you can also come down to the Schaalsee and enjoy the view and it's worth it. The path ends at the top of the slope and the narrow path down to the lake can only be guessed at through the many leaves, but you can find it if you want. Down at the lake you have great views of the then (almost) inaccessible western shore of the Schaalsee. Somehow also a historical site of the former insurmountable border.
