Nice view of the Boissower See from the east bank.
The nature reserve Boissower See and the southern part of Neuenkirchener See is located in the northwest of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the middle of the Schaalsee biosphere reserve. The nature reserve is part of the 1992 designated European bird sanctuary "Schaalsee". It has a size of approx. 86 hectares and includes parts of the town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee in the districts of Boissow, Techin, Neuhof and Neuenkirchen. The nature reserve serves to secure and maintain a narrow, partly muddy erosion valley along the Boissower and Neuenkirchener lakes, which are connected by an approximately 250-meter-long stream, and the associated reed belts, sloping forests, swelling swamp forests and the moorland and forest used as green forest Mineral floor surfaces.
A hiking trail along the east bank and an observation tower provide beautiful views.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturschutzgebiet_Boissower_See_und_S%C3%BCdteil_des_Neuenkirchener_Sees
