Rúa do Vilar is one of the most emblematic streets in the old town of Santiago de Compostela. It is known for its arcades and the monumental buildings that surround it. In fact, it was once the street of noble residences. You can see Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical mansions that reflect the prototype of an urban manor house, characterized by large noble coats of arms and the high-quality stonework and wrought iron.
