Oldenburg is one of the inland ports with the highest volumes in Lower Saxony. An average of 1,000 inland vessels and 60 ocean-going vessels moor in the port of Oldenburg every year.
In the “Alter Stadthafen” port area close to the city center, around 40 river cruise ships per year can be handled at the modern pier for passenger ships, which went into operation in 2019.
Sports and sailing boats can also moor in Oldenburg in the middle of the city.
The Oldenburg port offers jobs for around 400 people and is therefore an important economic factor for the city.
