The Brugg City Museum is located in the historic armory, built in 1673, in the heart of the old town. Its three floors tell the story of the city—from its Roman roots through the Middle Ages to the present day. In addition to a collection of regional everyday objects, it also houses the largest public exhibition of works by landscape painter Adolf Stäbli. Modern media stations with old photos, music, and literature make the visit particularly lively. Admission is free, and it is open every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
