On June 19, 1861, members of the Vorst Jewish community applied for the construction of a separate burial site for the Israelite families living in Vorst. The application is signed by Leopold Willner, Emenuel Lehmann, Herz Rosendahl and Joseph Horn. They undertook to buy a piece of land (hall 11, no. 1112/88) that was 25 rods in size, as noted in the site plan of July 20, 1861.
