The Kachidoki Bridge is a two-winged bridge with a length of 246 meters and a width of about 26 meters. In 2007, it was designated as an important cultural asset of Japan. In former times, it was opened and closed 5 times a day. However, it stops in November 1970 because of the decline of the ships going into that area. Valuable materials and related information about bridges over the Sumida River will be exhibited in the Kachidoki Bridge Museum, which is located on the side of the Kachidoki Gate of the Tsukiji Fish Market. In addition, the Kachidokinowatashi stone monument stands near the museum.
