Charles De Cazanove is a champagne house founded in 1811. The house's prestige cuvée is the Cazanove Stradivarius. The company is owned by the Rapeneau company, which also owns Mansard Baillet and G.H. Martel & Co.
The company was originally based in Avize. The son of founder Charles Gabriel De Cazanove, Charles Nicolas (1818-1993), achieved success with his champagnes, which were served by French presidents Patrice de Mac-Mahon, Sadi Carnot, and Emile Loubet. Customers also included Prince Metternich and, around the turn of the century, King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.
