The Place Royale is a square in the French city of Reims. The square is located in the historic center of the city, next to the Place du Forum. The square was built during the reign of King Louis XV in the 18th century. Construction began in 1757. Wikipedia

A bronze statue of Louis XV by Pierre Cartellier stands in the spacious square. Only the facades of the original buildings have been preserved; the remaining buildings were not rebuilt true to the original after the destruction of the First World War.
The origins of the square are said to go back to the former Roman forum.
