Hiking
The Kaiserjägersteig is a high-alpine trail with some sections that require climbing. A via ferrata set is recommended for personal safety. Surefootedness and a head for heights are essential to enjoy the hike. The descent from Lagazuoi is possible via an easy hiking trail or the Kriegst tunnels of the Alpini. When descending through the tunnels, you should wear a helmet with a headlamp. A powerful flashlight will also suffice. If you don't want to wear a helmet, you should bring some bandages.

During the Great War, the Kaiserjäger Trail served as a communication route between the valley floor and the Austrian positions high on Mount Lagazuoi, transporting food, ammunition, and supplies.
