The 'ferme Warnant' is one of the oldest farms in Grand-Hallet. It was founded in the seventeenth century as a castle farm and was owned by the lord of Grand-Hallet, Jean De Paheau (died in 1670), who was captain of 10 companies of Walloon infantry.

In addition, the square farm served as a court and the tithes were collected for the lord of Hallet who did not live there himself.

In a video from the Hannut tourist office, a few children talk (in French) about the various buildings and the history of the farm, as well as about the tuff stone used from Lincent. They also take a look at the use of the farm for cattle breeding with dairy cows.
