A section of the Levada Nova da Calheta, it corresponds to the longest existing route in the municipality of Calheta with about 40 KM. Despite being 40 km long, the route does not have any major differences in altitude and covers between 600 and 700 meters in total.

Hiking
The levada is very overgrown in places. However, if you're sure-footed, this shouldn't be a problem. Along the route, you'll also see a lot of deadwood among the eucalyptus trees. Otherwise, the levada is very easy to walk on.
